What is a freight exchange?

A freight exchange — also called a load board — is a marketplace for spot freight. Forwarders publish loads or search capacity; carriers bid or book. Major European examples include Trans.eu and TIMOCOM.

In freight operations

Exchanges increasingly ship their own AI for posting and negotiation. That overlaps “publish faster” tools but not a full multi-agent desk for quoting, CMR, POD, and fleet.

4logist AI focuses on inbox-to-draft quoting and operations beside your TMS and exchanges — not replacing the exchange itself.

How it relates to 4logist AI

4logist AI is built for SMB freight forwarders who want AI drafts with human approval. Glossary terms below link to agents and connectors when they map directly to product surfaces.
