What the connection does
Text and media (CMR photos, PDFs) normalize into the same inbound pipeline used for mail. Dedup uses inflight locks plus database claims because Meta retries aggressively.
- Self-serve Connect from Integrations → WhatsApp when app IDs are configured
- Coexistence keeps the WhatsApp Business app on the same number
- Account-level restriction events surface as status, not silent failure

- Open Integrations → WhatsApp.
- Click Connect and complete Meta Embedded Signup.

Does connecting remove WhatsApp from my phone?
No. Coexistence is enabled so the Business app can stay on the same number while Cloud API is connected.
Can the agent free-form message anytime?
No. Operator sends outside Meta’s customer care window are caught and explained — not dumped as raw Graph errors.
